The name of the company is UBUNTU.
What is UBUNTU?
People are connected by invisible things.
I am because you are.
It is an African Zulu word with a philosophical meaning.
UBUNTU LLC was named after our desire to be a company that values relationships and responds to your needs.
How and why did you start your business?
I have been traveling abroad for about 100 days a year for about 10 years.
In about 10 years, I have traveled to about 40 countries.
I've always been attracted to designs and characters that reflect the culture of the country.
I want to travel as if I were living there!
When I traveled abroad, I focused on one country and took my time staying in that country.
At times, I have traveled to Russia, the United States, Australia, Myanmar, Morocco within 90 days of my tourist visa.
By staying in one country for a long period of time, I was able to know about lifestyles, habits, and thoughts of the local people.
I realized in various countries that the perspective of a local in a travel destination is different from the perspective of a foreigner.
Being Japanese, and having grown up in Japan, I feel like I take Japan for granted.
I realized that I have not been able to incorporate many of the designs and materials found in Japan into my daily life.
As soon as I realized that.
"I would like to convey the goodness of Japan to people overseas and to the world.”
"How can we make people feel Japan?"
"How can we make Japanese items more visible?"
"How can we incorporate Japanese culture and traditions into our modern lives?"
After about a year of preparation, we started my own business in September 2020.
We are preparing for worldwide support (languages, shipping, etc.) in 2023 or so.
By selling only on the Internet, we aim to sell and expand to various countries through our own website.
Corporate Mission: To spread the goodness of Japan to the world.
Corporate Policy: To be a company that can continue to approach overseas markets.
